  20. Did you get the SCSI cable flipped between the board and the drive?  
  21. Look very carefully to identify where pin 1 is on the board and on 
  22. the drive.  You may just need to reverse one end of your SCSI cable.
  23. Other possibilities are that the ribbon cable or SCSI drive may be 
  24. bad.  Have you verified that they work on another controller?
  25. I swapped out the IDE with a 50M Quantum SCSI drive in my sisters 
  26. A590 and it worked perfectly the first time.
